Meet our Staff  

Lynnette W. Bragg,
R.N., C.C.M, CAPS, DDP 

Founder & CEO

Lynnette Bragg received her nursing degree from Grady Memorial Hospital and is a Certified Case Manager. She has worked in the management of home and community based services since 1988. Lynnette has a strong belief that all people can live in their own home as long as they receive the supports necessary to do so. People need to know they can control as much of their lives that is safely possible. Lynnette says that it is easy to know who is in control in a house, you look at who “holds the remote” or controls the station the TV is on. Lynnette is a strong advocate for people with developmental disabilities. She was appointed by three Governors to serve on the Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities from 1992 until 2008, six years of that as the Chairperson.  She recently served as the President of the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers.  She was appointed as a provider representative to the Georgia  Developmental Disability Advisory Council.  Lynnette complete training on Social Roles Valorization in August 2017.

Pauline Shaw, CAPS

Pauline Shaw is a Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She became involved in the special

needs community after the birth of her daughter Dakota, who has multiple diagnosis'.

She is Founder & President of the Effingham County Navigator Team - Support Group

and Recreational Program for Children with Special Needs. In 2013 she graduated

from AADD's Partners in Policymaking Advocacy Training. Pauline has participated in

many advocacy campaign's, most recently the passage of Ava's Law - Autism Insurance

Reform and Haleigh's Hope - Legalization of Medical Cannibis Oil. She is very excited to

not only be working as the Family Support Coordinator but to also be a part of the

B & B Family and helping those we serve in any way possible. She started working for

B&B Care Services in March 2015 as an MFP Transition Coordinator for the Coastal

Region, began as the Family Support Coordinator in July 2015, and is now the

Special Projects Manager and will be in charge of Supported Employment. Pauline

became a Certified Mandt System Instructor in December 2015 and completed

training in Social Roles Valorization in August 2017.

Valerie Everett,
B.S.,CAPS

NHT & Community Transitions 

 Program Manager

Valerie Everett received her Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in Community Health from Georgia Southern University.  She began working in the field of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Addictive Diseases in 2004 as a Mental Health Clinician and Certified Psychosocial Rehabilitation Practitioner for both young and aging adults. In the years to follow, her role expanded to work with children, adolescents and families, providing supportive counseling and support groups directed at anger management, substance abuse and behavioral difficulties until her employment began with B&B Care Services in 2008.  Valerie has fulfilled many case management roles with B&B Care Services since that time and currently oversees the MDSQ Options Counseling services, transition activities and billing processes of the Money Follows the Person Program for the Coastal and Heart of Georgia regions of the state

Heather Smith, B.S., ES, ACRE, DDP

Program Manager : Supported Employment 

Heather is a person of many titles including: wife, mother, Program Manager, and friend. Heather has worked in many departments since joining B&B Care Services in 2018. Heather brings extensive experience in the fields of DD, Autism, Aging and has true compassion for all. Heather is known for her passion for advocating for persons with disabilities in the Supported Employment Program and her volunteer position as a mentor for the Effingham County Navigator Team's Young Adult Program. Heather brings her Bachelor of Science degree into the workplace by always coming up with new ways to present resumes  from our program to employers. Heather's coworkers describe her as caring, fierce, organized, a leader, patient and a joy to be around. B&B is so thankful to have Heather on our team.
